The center is located just west of the Ashley River, minutes from historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Just a few years ago this once proud center was struggling with a closed department store building anchoring the front of the center. The redevelopment called for 40% of the center to be demolished and replaced with brand new construction, which included three new anchor stores: Harris Teeter, Petco & West Marine, plus two new outparcel buildings. Tenant sales have improved and rents are trending positive.
