The redevelopment of Renaissance Centre, located in Altamonte Springs, FL, involved coordinating simultaneous demolition and new construction while keeping half of the plaza open with minimal disruption to operations. The demolition of a 60,000 sf two-story Baer's furniture store and approximately 41,000 sf of shops made way for the new construction of a 40,000 sf Whole Foods, 15,400 sf Petco, 10,000 sf Ulta and 6,400 sf of new shops. Also, 38,292 sf of existing space will be backfilled. This redevelopment process has also involved relocating Pier One into a new 10,458 sf prototype store, and moving Jason's Deli to a pad location. The redevelopment involved a facade renovation to the existing buildings to match the new development. The majority of the redevelopment had been pre-leased prior to the commencement of construction, and promises a new mix of national tenants with excellent visibility.
