Wilde Lake Village Center is located in Columbia, Maryland between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. The shopping center had a vacant former grocery store anchor and was currently approximately 40% vacant. The redevelopment is a mixed-use project including residential rental units (approximately 240 units), 30,000 SF of office space, 41,000 SF of retail, and 20,000 SF of restaurants. The project included attractive covered walking paths, outdoor seating areas, and community space. Landscaping was enhanced throughout the center including the existing vegetation, along with various hardscapes, stamped concrete walkways and crosswalks and impervious paver parking spaces. Water quality stormwater management via a bio-retention facility was proposed, and the entire redevelopment project is LEED certified. David's Market is a new and larger facility, featuring a contemporary interior floor plan with an interior/exterior cafe.
